More than 500 people from various cities of Castile and beyond came to Aranda to demonstrate by dancing and singing on Friday 21st December.
The largest city in the province of Burgos is its capital, of the same name. It is followed by Miranda de Ebro to the north and Aranda de Duero to the south.
A fifteen-year-old girl was gang-raped in Aranda in 2017. The sentence has recently been handed down: 38 years for each of the men. A few days ago their friends and family held a demonstration of support.
The demonstration was called in solidarity with the victim and as well as people from Aranda, buses came from Miranda, Madrid, Burgos, León and Asturias with people to demonstrate.
